Ten-trip concession cards, without the cardboard.
Sell the visits up front, the way you already do — but put the card in the member's phone wallet instead of a drawer they'll forget. It counts down as they train, it can't be lost in a gym bag, and staff top it up in seconds when they buy the next one.
The front desk does two things
Check someone in: scan their card, tap "Use a visit". The card in their wallet updates within seconds, so they always know how many visits they've got left — no "how many do I have?" conversations.
Sell more visits: when the card runs out, take payment the way you already do, then tap to add another block of visits. You choose the size — five, ten, twenty — when you set the card up.
Casuals become regulars
A stamp card works alongside the concession card — reward the drop-in crowd for their tenth visit — and a one-off coupon ("first session free") can be shared as a link in your socials, claimable once per person. When you've got something to say, a message to every card holder lands on their lock screen.
Questions gyms ask
What is a digital concession card?
A visit pass sold up front — ten visits, say — that lives in the member's Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Scanning at the desk counts a visit off; topping up adds more when they buy again.
How do members pay for it?
At your counter, however you take money today. We never touch payment — staff add the visits once the member has paid.
Do members need an app or a login?
No. The card sits in the wallet already on their phone, and it updates itself every time staff scan it.
What does it cost?
NZ$39 a month including GST, however many members you have. The first 30 days are free, no credit card needed.
